National Account Manager

Job Description 

Are you good at communicating and building relationships with others? Are you motivated to grow and progress every day? Are you interested in earning $50k - $75k in your first year, and over $90k/year after that? We're looking for you! This is a full-time, on-site, business-to-business sales role at Inland Logistix, a freight and logistics brokerage based in Salt Lake City. We are growing and searching for talented salespeople who will help Inland Logistix continue that growth. 

Responsibilities 

The National Account Manager will be responsible for developing leads across North America into customer accounts that will be part of the Account Manager's protected book of business. Once accounts are established, the Account Manager will foster and preserve an ongoing, mutually beneficial relationship with the customer by providing consistently excellent customer service to grow the account and become their go-to broker for all their freight.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills   
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills   
  • Coachable – Willingness and desire to both gain and utilize new knowledge
  • Lead generation and development skills – not afraid to cold call as needed  
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industry, effectively prioritizing multiple job tasks
  • Account management and customer service skills   
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM software, internet, etc.)   
  • Experience in sales and/or in the logistics industry is not required, but preferred

Available Pay Structures 
  • W-2 Employee - $45,000/year base salary plus uncapped commission
  • 1099 Independent Contractor - Generous commission-only structure (experienced freight brokers only)

Job Description

This is an on-site, part-time to full-time (15-20 hrs/wk to begin with the opportunity to move to full-time) sales support role at Inland Logistix, a freight and logistics brokerage based in Salt Lake City. We are growing and searching for talented communicators who will help Inland Logistix continue that growth. 


Responsibilities 

The Capacity Manager conducts numerous daily inbound and outbound phone calls with dispatchers from a variety of carriers (trucking companies). This critical member of our team is responsible for negotiating rates with those carriers to secure the appropriate vehicles to haul our customers' freight while working with our Account Managers to maximize our profit margins. They will maintain commucation with each carrier during every step of the shipment, from dispatch to delivery.


Qualifications 
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Reasonable but Strong – Never a push-over
  • Coachable – Willingness and desire to both gain and utilize new knowledge
  • Collaborative – Ability to work well with colleagues to find the best solutions to unexpected challenges
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industry, effectively prioritizing multiple job tasks
  • Cool under pressure 
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, internet, learning new software, etc.)   
  • Experience in the logistics industry (dispatcher, CDL driver, sales, operations, etc.) is not required, but a plus

Available Pay Structures 
  • Part-Time: Hourly plus uncapped commissions
  • Full-Time: Hourly or Salary plus uncapped commissions
